LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - More than 100 Lubbock businesses are on record saying proposed health care reform is a bad idea. President Obama pitched his proposal to Congress and the nation last week in a live televised address.
The Lubbock Chamber and local businesses added their signatures to many others nationwide and sent a letter to every member of Congress. It says in part "we are dedicated to improving our nation's health care system, especially in terms of lowering health care costs" - "however, we believe that the legislation currently being considered would not improve the system."
