SUV in North Lubbock playa lake reported stolen - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock Police say the SUV found Tuesday night in a playa lake was reported stolen six days ago.

Police are now trying to determine who drove it into the water at the Buddy Holly Recreational area in North Lubbock at North University and Canyon Lakes Drive.

Witnesses noticed the SUV sinking into the water just after 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Rescue workers rushed to the scene, but found no one inside.

Police say it was stolen on September 10th from the 1900 block of 66th Street.
