TEXAS (KCBD) - It'll now be tougher for Texas students to get into the University of Texas. The University has tightened its admissions policy regarding automatic admissions of students graduating in the top 10 percent of their graduating class.
So starting in 2011, the campus will guarantee the top 8 percent of the state's high school graduates. The 10 percent rule remains in place for the other 37 public schools in Texas.
