Hub City gets ready for Tech game in Austin

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - There is just two days before the big game when the Red Raiders take on the Longhorns in Austin. And fans all over the Hub City are getting their plans set.

This year the Red Raiders are taking their first road trip of the season, heading down to Austin to take on #2 Texas. Both teams are currently 2 and 0.

It's hard to forget last year's big win but Texas Tech has lost their last five games against UT in Austin, so a little extra spirit is needed this year. If you can't make the road trip many restaurants around town are hosting watch parties.

Triple J Chophouse is inviting everybody out to get pumped up for this weekend's game by the turning of the horns on Friday night.  "Tomorrow(Friday) night is our 4th Annual turning of the horns, it's every time we play UT. We have a bull in the restaurant and we turn the bull upside down and try to get all the fans and everybody fired up about Texas Tech vs. UT weekend," says Triple J owner Joe Keller.
