Lubbock area schools hit by flu already

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock area schools are being hit early with influenza.  Each district is still trying to gather the official numbers, but Lubbock-Cooper on Friday had 38-confirmed cases of flu.   Frenship ISD had 280-absences but it is not known yet how many of those are due to the flu.

Both Frenship ISD and Lubbock ISD are reporting higher than usual teacher absences due to illness. NewsChannel 11 will continue to follow these developments, and will get more specific numbers for you on Monday.
