Harris Defense Attorney Collapses

The Houston dentist accused of murdering her husband took the stand in her own defense on Wednesday. Clara Harris is accused of running over David Harris in a hotel parking lot after she found out he was having an affair.

On Wednesday morning, Harris testified that she and her husband were best friends and very much in love, but that her marriage crumbled under David's infidelity. Before Harris could finish her testimony, the trial broke for lunch. That's when her attorney, George Parnham, reportedly collapsed in the courtroom.

EMS loaded him onto a stretcher and took him to a local hospital. Parnham's law partner said he had been suffering from the flu and the stress of the trial likely caused him to faint. He says Parnham will be fine.

The trial will resume on Friday.
