Motorcyclist in critical condition after collision with semi-truck

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A motorcyclist is in critical condition after his bike collided with an 18-wheeler in North Lubbock on Monday afternoon.

Police say that just before 1:00 p.m., 34-year-old Toby Wimberley was south bound on Avenue Q at the Clovis Highway intersection and hit the back of the mack truck.

Police say a 120 foot skid mark is visible at the scene. EMS took Wimberley to a University Medical Center with critical injuries.

The driver of the truck was not injured.
