LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - After some accumulation of rainfall overnight, a Lubbock neighborhood is fed up that their street flooded, despite a major drainage project being complete.
Flooding on 93rd street caused traffic to slow Tuesday morning. This comes less than two weeks after the last phase of the 50 million dollar south Lubbock drainage project was completed at Charles Guy Park.
Lubbock's Director of Public Works says the reason for the street flooding has nothing to do with the drainage project, but a cracked pipe. "We needed to get this other project competed and get the contractor out of there and then we will be going in to fix that."
