Aggravated robbery at south Lubbock restaurant

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock Police Department are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred early Wednesday morning outside a Taco Villa.

A 39-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint just before 2:00 a.m. in the parking lot at 8212 Indiana Avenue. The victim was walking across the parking lot when he was approached by a man who had been waiting on the side of the business.

According to the police report, the robber ordered the victim to lie on the ground and give him money. The victim showed the robber his wallet and told him he didn't have any money. The robber then told him to give him the store's money, and the victim told him he didn't have access to it.

The suspect fled the scene on foot going southbound on Indiana. The victim did not need medical attention.

The suspect is described as a man, 5 feet tall and weighing about 110 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black hoodie, black mask and blue jeans. He was displaying a black handgun.
