Early Thursday morning a routine traffic stop ended with a trip to jail for one Lubbock man. At around 2:30 a Lubbock Police officer stopped a car leaving an area known for high narcotic traffic. The man driving the car declined a voluntary search.
When police called in the K-9 Unit, they found 13 & 1/2 ounces of marijuana and 40 grams of methamphetamines. On top of that, when police checked the drivers record they found out he is a registered sex offender and on parole.
They arrested him for possession with intent to deliver and possession of paraphernalia. The man's name will not be released until he is arraigned.
