LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Twelve school cafeterias had one critical violation.
Kitchen utensils were broken or dirty at multiple schools including:
There was mildew in an ice machine at both Frenship Crestview Elementary and Frenship Terra Vista Middle School.
At New Directions Early Center there was no paper towels in a restroom.
A can was dented Bowie Elementary.
A cook at Wright Elementary was cutting tomatoes with their bare hands.
At Project Intercept several cold foods were thrown out because they were above the safe cold temperature of 41 degrees.
And two schools each had two critical violations.
At Mackenzie Middle School an employee did not wash their hands before putting on gloves, and a can opener was dirty.
And at Frenship Willow Bend Elementary hot foods were not at least 135 degrees and a can opener was dirty.
