LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - New details Friday, on the job losses at Covenant Health System.

NewsChannel 11 broke the story that Covenant would provide incentives to those employees who choose to quit voluntarily, in exchange for more severance pay. This comes in advance of looming layoffs.

Covenant says 149 employees signed up, and 96 were officially accepted.

A written statement from Covenant states, "the overwhelming majority of the resignations accepted were for administrative and support staff positions from across the system."
