LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Former President George W. Bush was in the Hub City Tuesday evening speaking at a fundraising-dinner to benefit Lubbock Christian University. The event was held at the Lubbock Civic Center and tickets to hear the 43rd President speak were sold out.
About 900 people showed up for the dinner portion of the event and 1,400 people were there to hear the speech afterward. World-renowned artist Rolando Diaz was part of Tuesday night's festivities.
Lubbock Christian was hoping to raise at least $125,000 for scholarships.
