March races including Lubbock special elections not far off

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The March Primary races don't officially get started until December but already we've got a lot to look forward to.  They will include the already hotly contested race for Governor.   Also up....

  • Lieutenant Governor
  • Texas Attorney General
  • State comptroller
  • Texas Commissioner of Agriculture
  • Railroad Commissioner
  • Texas Supreme Court (3 seats)
  • All Texas state house members 
  • Texas board of education (8 members)
  • All county judges
  • All district attorneys 
  • All district clerks 
  • County Commissioners, Precincts 2 and 4 
  • Special election for Lubbock County Sheriff
  • Special election for 140th district court 
  • District 19 congressman

.... and several others.  Just as soon as the primary is over we go right back to election season with a mid-May city election.  On that ballot will be:

  • Lubbock Mayor
  • Council District 1
  • Council District 3
  • Council District 5
