Lubbock Code Enforcement will be in Guadalupe neighborhood

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Code Administration Section of the Lubbock Police Department will be conducting a field exercise in the Guadalupe neighborhood on Thursday, October 1st between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The area inspected is between I-27 and Marsha Sharp Freeway and Avenue Q and Erskin Avenue.

This inspection is to identify violations relating to junked vehicles, nuisance weeds and rubbish, substandard housing, and zoning. Code Inspectors will be talking to the public about city ordinances, citing violations, and possibly abating violations during this exercise.

A field office will be set up in the parking lot at 905 3rd Street. Solid Waste will provide a roll off dumpster at the field office for the citizens in the defined area to dispose of unwanted bulky items such as furniture, appliances, or tree branches.
