LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Along with the fall weather comes flu season.
Health officials say we've seen an early start to flu season this year, and the best way to prevent getting the flu is to get your flu shot.
With that in mind, the City of Lubbock Health Department will hold an adult drive-thru flu shot clinic for those 19-years-old and older. They will not vaccinate children at this time, and you must be in a vehicle - no walk-ups.
The clinic will be this Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the health department parking lot at 1902 Texas Avenue. The cost is $20 per person, and they will accept Medicare.
In the event of bad weather, they will move the clinic inside the health department auditorium.
Just a reminder, this is for seasonal flu only - the H1N1 vaccine is not available yet, but should be soon.
