Tech Takes Steps to Encourage Kicking Smoking Habit - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Texas Tech University is taking a positive approach to encourage students to stop smoking. On Tuesday, Texas Tech's Center for Tobacco Prevention and Control sponsored a new campaign to show students the positive side of not smoking.

The campaign spokesman, Walt the Weatherman, forecasted that 70% of Tech students don't smoke, and that through this campaign that number will grow. He also passed out free t-shirts and Cotton Kings tickets.
