The Process in making seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccines are the same

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A new poll shows 2/3 of Americans say they may not or definitely won't get the H1N1 vaccine anyway because they're afraid it's not safe.

Health officials say there is no difference between the seasonal flu shot and the H1N1 vaccine.  The swine flu shot is made exactly the same way as the seasonal flu shot, and it has gone through additional clinical trials. No red flags have been raised during the studies. Every vaccine batch is cleared by the FDA before it is shipped, and experts say no corners have been cut during the manufacturing process.

Already, doctor visits for influenza-like illness are nearly twice what they should be for this time of year and 99% of lab tests are showing H1N1, indicating if you get the flu now, its swine flu.
