LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The H1N1 flu vaccine has made its way to Lubbock. However, the availability is limited for now.
The Lubbock Health Department has not received any of the vaccine doses, but some private healthcare providers in area have.
Bridget Faulkenberry with the City of Lubbock Health Department says, "The H1N1 vaccine is trickling into the city. We're not getting very many doses at a time, and what is coming in is the nasal spray type, so it is mostly for 2 to 3-year-olds."
Coming up on NewsChannel 11 at 6, we'll tell you how the Lubbock Health Department is teaming up with local school districts to get students vaccinated.
