New information in Springlake fatal accident

SPRINGLAKE, TX (KCBD) - There is new information about the fiery crash in Lamb County that took three lives.

On Monday, a truck hauling a cotton module suffered a tire blowout. The Department of Public Safety says the blowout caused the truck to cross into the oncoming lane of traffic and strike the SUV.

Both vehicles caught on fire.

DPS is still not releasing the names of the two females that were killed. They're saying the bodies were burned so badly that a positive ID is very difficult.

They did release the name of the truck driver; 33-year-old Raymond Ramirez of Olton.

Even though DPS has not released the names of the two females, NewsChannel 11 has received numerous calls and emails from friends of the family.

They say the victims are Tammy and Rexee Jackson. Rexee was a student at Springlake-Earth High School.

An email from the coaches at the schools says the funeral for both mother and daughter will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the school auditorium. To accommodate the services, Springlake-Earth has moved the Friday night football game against Farwell to Saturday.

There is also a fundraiser for the family on Sunday. NewsChannel 11 will have more details on the news at 6 and 10.
