LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Lubbock is set to host the 5th annual Vino Festivo, Lubbock's premier art, wine, and food festival, October 8, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts.
All proceeds benefit BBBS of Lubbock to help create successful mentoring relationships for children in the local community.
Vino Festivo has become the largest fundraiser for BBBS of Lubbock and the event includes a combination of art from local amateurs, professionals, and Little's (BBBS kid art) which will be displayed and auctioned throughout the evening.
The event will also include an array of food and wine samplings, door prizes, a live and silent auction with jewelry, a trip to Napa Valley, and live entertainment provided by Ad Hoc. "This unique Board fundraiser has successfully grown over the past five years. We receive strong support from our attendees, corporate partners and Board members.
Through this event we look forward to meeting our community supporters and building strong relationships with them. Most importantly all the money raised stays here in the South Plains to allow BBBS to serve more children from our local community" said Cindy Miller executive director for the agency.
Tickets are $40 per person and include food and wine samplings along with live entertainment and should be purchased in advance, limited number of tickets available at the door.
