Cold front moving fast and hard to Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A very strong cold front will hit Lubbock between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and temperatures will drop 20 degrees or more within 15 to 30 minutes after the front hits.

Winds are expected to be 25-35mph with this front, and some storms are likely along or behind the front.

It will be much colder tonight and Friday morning with a low of about 40 degrees in Lubbock, but in the 30's in Plainview and north of there.

Tomorrow will be cool with a high of 66.
