LP&L adds new payment options for customers

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - LP&L customers now have an additional 27 locations to pay their utility bill.

The new payment locations are at 27 different Western Union Pay Stations in Lubbock. Many of the locations are at locations customers visit frequently like United Supermarkets and Lowe's Supermarkets.

Chris Sims with LP&L said, "We are pleased to offer this new payment option to our customers. Even though there is a $1 dollar convenience fee, many of our cash and money order customers have told us that the $1 fee is much cheaper than what they spend on the gas they use to travel to existing payment locations."

Approximately one quarter or 22,000 customers pay their bill with cash or money order each month at the LP&L Main and Branch Business Offices. LP&L expects many of these customers will appreciate saving gas and time by being able to pay their bill at 27 different locations in Lubbock in addition to the Main and Branch Offices.
