Semi hits overhead sign on I-27 - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Those in the area of I-27 and Yucca Lane were startled by and unusual sound on Friday afternoon.

TxDot says it came from a sign at Yucca Lane. An 18-wheeler clipped a highway sigh and sent a portion of it crashing to the ground. The rest of the sign was left dangling overhead, obstructing the roadway. There were no injuries reported in this accident.

TxDot crews on the scene say that the sign will not be completely repaired until after 6:00 p.m.
