TxDOT urges use of detours at 4th & West Loop

Posted by Ben Lawson  - bio | email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Texas Department of Transportation reminds drivers on West Loop 289 to continue using designated detour routes around the Northwest Passage construction zone at 4th Street.

Engineers say the detours were designed to safely move high traffic volumes, and they discourage motorists from using residential streets to bypass construction in the area.

Drivers can expect these detours to remain in place for the next 15 months.
