LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock housing market shows some sign of life but not a complete recovery yet.
Numbers provided to NewsChannel 11 Monday show the city approved construction of 63 new "single family" homes last month. That's a slight increase, as compared to August when it was 60 new homes. But it's only about half of what used to be in September of 2008, when the city approved 123 new houses.
There is some good news. The value of new "single family" homes went up from $11.3 million in August to $15 million in September.
