Early Morning Accident Injures One - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

One person is in the hospital after a serious car accident on Friday morning. Around 2:30 a.m., a Pontiac Sunbird was going North on University at 19th St. when a Ford Explorer traveling on University ran a red light and hit the Sunbird. The Explorer slid on it's side about 75 yards.

The driver of the Explorer was unconscious and was taken to Covenant with serious injuries. The occupants of the Sunbird escaped injuries.
