LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Timothy Cole Advisory Panel on Wrongful Convictions had its first meeting Monday.
The panel will conduct a year long effort toward recommending new safeguards against wrongful convictions. The panel was named after former Texas Tech student Timothy Cole who went to prison for rape in 1985. He died in 1999 and was postumously exonerated earlier this year.
