LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The national health care debate landed in Lubbock Wednesday. Dozens of people spoke out about the Washington health care reform efforts. They held a protest rally outside the Lubbock office of Senator John Cornyn. They accuse him of supporting big insurance companies in blocking attempts at reform.
"The insurance companies have got the government in its pocket paying off every. It's that simple and obvious," said protestor John McLarty.
Cornyn has expressed skepticism about current proposals. The rally was part of a national day of action, which included more than 100 rallies in 43 states.
