LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - While the new H1N1 or Swine-Flu vaccine arrived at some clinics across the nation on Wednesday, many people are reluctant to roll up their sleeves and get one because the testing is not complete. Government health officials however are insisting that this new vaccine is safe.
"The levels of vaccine we have at this point are still fairly low," said Dr. Melvin Kohn, Director of the Oregon Public Health Division.
Dr. Jesse Goodman, with the FDA says, "The safety record of this vaccine to date does not indicate a cause for concern."
"A decision to wait is not risk-free, that it is possible that you or your child will get influenza in the waiting period," said Anne Schuchat, with the CDC.
