Terry County rollover kills one and injures four

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A rollover in Terry County claimed the life of a Denver City woman and injured four others. DPS says 18-year-old Rosa Cervantes died yesterday, following a rollover West of Wellman along FM-213.

Investigators say Cervantes was riding in a 1995 Ford Explorer when the tred on the left, rear tire came off around 3:45 Friday afternoon.  Authorities say the driver, 18-year-old Laura Romo, also of Denver City, lost control and overcorrected. The SUV flipped, landing in the bar ditch.

Laura Romo is in good condition at University Medical Center. EMS took 21-year-old Eraceli Romo to UMC, too. She's listed in critical condition. One-year-old Amber Dominquez and 6-month-old Jady Aguilar were treated and released from Brownfield Regional Medical Center. Authorities say no one in the car was wearing a seatbelt.
