Cosmetology School suffers from local business' closure

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - One Lubbock business is suffering the consequence of its neighbors' recent closure. Back in August, students returning to the Institute of Beauty and Massage found the doors locked.

It has a completely different name than the nearby Lubbock Cosmetology College, but a similar street address at 3602 Slide Road. The owner of Lubbock Cosmetology College says her business is still very much in operation.

"I think there was confusion when it was broadcast that people were assuming it was my school because it was a quote beauty school. And I just want to confirm that we're not closing we're open for business," says owner Karan Fowler McClure.
