Jury reaches a verdict in Lubbock taser trial

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The jury in the Lubbock tasing trial has decided Officer Blackmore did not use excessive force.

The jury deliberations continued this morning at 9:00 a.m. and the verdict was given by 10:30 a.m.

The jury has decided that Officer Marsh Blackmore did not use excessive force on L.J. McCallan during a traffic stop in April of 2006.

McCallan claims Officer Blackmore used excessive force when he tased McCallan during a traffic stop in April of 2006.

The attorney for Officer Blackmore has asked the judge to rule in the officer's favor, before the jury rendered a verdict.
