LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock City Council met on Tuesday morning and has made some decisions on flu vaccines to school children and two alcohol variances.
The City now has a plan to distribute the swine flu vaccine to Lubbock school children.
Council members have agreed to hire a company called Nursefinders to administer the shots to all public schools in Lubbock County.
State funds will pay for the vaccinations.
The Council also approved two alcohol variances, which is special permission to sell alcohol near a school. The first is for Red Hana Restaurant at 411 University, which is across the street from Texas Tech University.
The other is La Michocana Meat Market located at 2131 Clovis Road, near Cavazos Middle School.
