"Black Out the Jones" for A&M game

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - It is arguably one of the biggest rivalry match ups in the Big 12 - the Aggies and the Red Raiders.

With less than four days until kick off, Tech merchandise is flying off store shelves. The game day black out t-shirt seems to be a popular item.

Last year, Texas got the black-out treatment and this year the Aggies can expect it. Shoppers we spoke with Tuesday say they hope the color black will distract the Aggies. "We got to support Tech. We are going to kill A&M," says student Michael Warren.

"It's, what's the word, distracting. Hopefully it will help us win," says first year student Maddie Hooper.

"I'm a big tech fan and try to go to each team. It's an intimidation factor and a way we can show our support for the team," says fan Jake Bush.

The game is not sold out yet but the Tech ticket office says it's only a matter of time. As of Tuesday afternoon there are only 3,700 tickets available for Saturday's match up. This will be the first game that 6,000 additional seats will be available as part of the stadium expansion.

NewsChannel 11 is partnering with Red Raider Outfitters to give away $800 in tailgate gear and tickets to the OU vs. Tech game in November. Aaron Watson will be performing at noon before Saturday's game across from the stadium and 12 pairs of tickets are up for grabs.

To enter drop your entry form in the box at Red Raider Outfitters or just become a KCBD NewsChannel 11 Facebook fan and you are automatically qualified. NewsChannel 11 Sports Director Pete Christy will announce winners during NewsChannel 11 at 10 on Thursday night.

Remember, the game is not on television so get your tickets now to see Texas Tech vs. A&M.
