Memorial fundraiser to celebrate the life of Daniel Green


LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - GreenFest is a fundraiser that has been scheduled to raise funds for music scholarships to be given to area music students and to also celebrate the life of Daniel Green.

Daniel Green was tragically shot and killed on October 16th, 2008 after a minor traffic accident. He was a Coronado High School graduate. He was a member of the Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestra before attending Texas Tech and South Plains College where he studied music.

Friends and family of Daniel Green will be hosting GreenFest on October 30th from 7:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Bash Riprock's 2 in the Depot District at 19th and I-27.

All ages are welcome to this fundraiser. There is a $5 cover for those over the age of 21 and an $8 cover charge for minors.

All proceeds go to music scholarships in Daniel Green's name.
