Sheriff says tentatively ID'd body of missing Florida girl

ORANGE COUNTY, FL (NBC) - Authorities in Northeast Florida have confirmed they found the body of a missing seven-year-old girl.

On Wednesday, the child's body was discovered in a landfill near where Somer Thompson went missing.

This morning, officials confirmed that the body is that of Somer Thompson after comparing physical evidence including clothing and a birthmark.
