Early graduation ceremony for soldier

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - An LCU student has earned the right to graduate, but will not be in the country come time for graduation.

Staff Sergeant Ramiro Hernandez found out in July that he would be deployed to Afghanistan, and LCU wanted to make sure that this first generation, soon-to-be college graduate, would have the opportunity to walk the LCU stage and receive his degree.

Coming up tonight on NewsChannel 11 at 6, we will have more on Hernandez and what LCU did to help this soldier.
