Parent company of Plains Capital Bank now publicly traded company

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Plains Capital Corp, the parent company of Plains Capital Bank, is now a publicly traded company. Fifteen million shares were put on the market Wednesday to help re-pay the U.S. Treasury Department millions in tax dollars that Plains received as part of TARP last year.

Plains Capital hopes to raise more than 140 million dollars. The stock is being offered at prices of 14 to 16 dollars a share. But it is not known when the stock will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
