LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD)- It's not the yellow brick road but it is just as creative. It's the Lubbock Pumpkin Trail, a free family oriented event happening in town this weekend.
The trail is lined with 643 creative jack-o-lanterns located at the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum in Clapp Park at 41st and University. A few of NewsChannel 11's employees put their imagination to the test and donated several carved pumpkins to the trail.
NewsChannel 11 would also like to give a special thanks to Carthell Farms in Floydada for providing us with our pumpkins.
The Pumpkin Trail is sponsored by Parks and Recreation and the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum. The trail is stroller and wheelchair friendly and the event is free! The trail will be opened from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Friday night, and from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. Saturday night.
