LUBBOCK, TX - Texas Tech head women's basketball coach Kristy Curry has announced that seniors Jordan Murphree and Ashlee Roberson and redshirt freshman Lindie Kimbro have been elected team captains in a vote by their teammates.
Curry announced the election of team captains Sunday at practice.
Murphree is Tech's top returning scorer from last season after averaging 11.3 points in 25 games. She is the only three-year letterwinner on the Lady Raider roster. Roberson, who played her first year of college basketball at South Plains College, returns for her third year at Tech and is second-best returning rebounder, averaging 6.4 boards last year. Kimbro makes her debut this year after redshirting last season to recover from a knee injury.
The Lady Raiders host Sam Houston State on Sat., Nov. 14, at 3:30 p.m. in their season opener at the United Spirit Arena.
