Five years have passed since brutal murder

LUBBOCK TX (KCBD) - Five years after neighbors made a horrible discovery at an apartment in northeast Lubbock police say the investigation continues into the murders of a mother and her three children.

On October 25th, 2004 45-year-old Tammie Cooper, her 9-year-old twins and 11-year-old daughter were found murdered at what was then the Wind Crest Estacado apartments.

Investigators said it was one of the most brutal killings they had ever seen. Police have followed leads from California to Dallas, but never recovered a murder weapon, a motive or a suspect.

They do say there is a person of interest they want to talk to, a man named Butch who knew the family who came to their door the night before their bodies were found.

Police say it's been three years since they've received any new leads, but urge anyone who might have even the smallest details to call them.
