LUBBOCK TX (KCBD) - Right now the land where the Tara West house once stood is an historical landmark but that could soon change.
The city of Lubbock requested the removal of the historical designation. On Tuesday, the urban design and historical preservation commission will hold a public hearing on the issue. The historic home was located at 4th and Slide, but had to be moved to extend Slide Road.
The house was bought for $510, but cost about $80,000 to move.
