LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock City Council meets behind closed doors on Friday. The agenda mentions in very general terms that the discussion will include water issues and right-of-way issues.
NewsChannel 11 reported earlier this month that the city settled in principle with 19 Garza County landowners. There had been a disagreement over how much the city should pay to lay water pipeline across their properties, as part of the Lake Alan Henry Project. The city agreed to pay $85 per rod, which is 16 and a half feet.
