LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - According to the National Weather Service, Lubbock and its surrounding counties are now under a freeze warning.
This freeze warning will be in effect until 10:00 a.m. Friday. This warning comes with a possibility of heavy frost overnight.
Temperatures are expected to drop to or below freezing across the extreme Southwest Texas Panhandle, Central South Plains, and Southwestern South Plains.
Vegetation sensitive to these temperatures will experience freeze or frost damage.
The counties included in this warning are Baily, Lamb, Hale, Floyd, Cochran, Hockley, Lubbock, Crosby, Yoakum, Terry, Lynn and Garza.
