LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Tell your trick or treaters that pumpkin is the best treat of the season. The Department of Agriculture says it's a great source of vitamin A, C and potassium.
Don't throw the seeds away because they're high in fiber and vitamin B-12 and when roasted in the oven, they taste great as a snack or on a salad. Also, if you bake fresh pumpkin, the USDA says choose a small one with few bruises because the smaller pumpkins have more flavor.
