LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Covenant Health System Foundation will host the 2009 "The Beat Goes On" Gala to raise money for the Covenant Primary Stroke Center.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 30th at the Knipling Education Conference Center.
Strokes are the third-leading cause of death in the U.S., behind heart disease and cancer according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The Foundation hopes the event will raise $200,000 for a certified stroke program as well as raise awareness about the signs of stroke.
