Mother speaks out on son's international custody battle

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Just one day after a father spoke to NewsChannel 11 about his international custody battle over his son, his ex-wife speaks out Friday night. His father, Jason Hook, says his ex-wife, Tory Hill, took their son to Israel just four days before a custody hearing here in Lubbock on July 7th.

Since Tory Hill wasn't there Hook was given temporary sole custody. Hill says the situation is not what it seems. "Mr. Hook did not have joint custody of Gideon at the time that I came to Israel, and because of that the Hade Convention states that you must have joint custody in order to say that I've abducted the child," said Hill.

Hill says she is in Israel working as a missionary. An Israeli judge heard the case Monday, and she has until November 15th to decide if Gideon will get to return to Texas.
