LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Saturday marked the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Survivors, their families, and other supporters attended the Lynetta Hibdon Breast Symposium Saturday to listen to speakers and learn more about the diagnosis and treatment.
"Folks can never be too educated on breast cancer or cancer of any kind really. Today's a great day about education, and about understanding and supporting each other," Charley Wasson, Director for Hospice of Lubbock said. Statistics estimate more than 40,000 people in the U.S. will die from breast cancer this year.
