LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock Congressman Randy Neugebauer wants a waiting period before bills are passed in the house.
Neugebauer said in a written statement last week he wants a 72-hour waiting period so that a bill could be posted to the internet and the general public could see it. Separately, the Congressman also supports a measure that requires committees to post their amendments to any bill within 24 hours after they pass the committee.
Neugebauer says too much of the work in the U.S. House is done in secret including work on health care reform.
